Tony Stark's Control Band

 

In the beginning of Iron Man 3, Tony Stark uses a control band while working on the Mark 42 armor.  The band helps him remotely control his suits, as well as giving him optical data readouts.  This prop was recreated using a variety of plastics as well electronics.  The main band is made from ABS for its flexibility and durability, while the side units are based in styrene with sintra added to create the wall thickness.  Blue LEDs where installed in each unit, powered by a coin-cell housed in the right unit.  The left unit features an acrylic display.  The prop was primed and then hand painted using Citadel paints.  The finished piece is both a very accurate movie replica, and a great wearable prop for any Tony Stark cosplay.
